An iTero scan creates a digital record of your teeth and can replace conventional impressions for many suitable treatments. Some cases still require other records or impression techniques; your dentist will explain what is appropriate.
No. An intraoral optical scan records the visible surfaces of teeth without X-rays. Dental radiographs use ionizing radiation to assess structures that cannot be evaluated from an optical scan alone. X-rays are recommended according to your clinical needs.
A same-day restoration may be possible in selected cases using the practice’s SprintRay workflow. Suitability depends on the tooth, material, treatment plan, and appointment availability. Your dentist will confirm whether one visit or a laboratory-made restoration is appropriate.
Fees depend on the treatment, materials, and records required. The team will review the proposed care and costs with you before treatment. Digital equipment does not by itself determine the price or your insurance coverage.
